This course will teach you how to move water safely and predictably protecting homes, hardscapes, turf, and plantings from costly damage. You’ll learn field-proven methods for assessing grade, selecting the right system, installing it correctly, and verifying performance so your work lasts for years.

You’ll learn how to:

• Read site grade and water flow, and design continuous downhill paths with proper slope
• Work safely around utilities and trenches using the right PPE and jobsite practices
• Install buried downspouts with PVC or ADS pipe, from trenching to clean, watertight connections
• Build gravel-based solutions like swales and French drains that collect, convey, and infiltrate water
• Set surface drains, connect discharge lines, and integrate Flo-Wells where outflow is limited
• Test systems with hose flow, troubleshoot slow spots, and correct slope or blockage issues
• Restore sites cleanly and coach clients on simple maintenance that keeps systems performing

By the end of this course, you’ll plan and install drainage that works the first time with clean lines, correct slope, and reliable flow that protects your client’s property and your company’s reputation.
